Stanford Swimming has a long, proud history. Jenny Thompson, Janet Evans, Misty Hyman and Summer Sanders all swam for the Cardinal and went on to the Olympics.
In this video, the Stanford women’s team were partnered up with a campus videographer to produce a short film over the course of 19 hours about what it is like to swim at one of the elite programs in the country, and how they fare in other sports.
The Cardinal women suit up to try out football — pads and all, track and field, soccer and more. In all, they try to extend their swimming prowess to other sports with limited, yet entertaining success:
